Nidāna leads to indigestion and formation of amarasa. Further the vitiated vāta stimulates this amarasa and takes this to various kapha sthānas like ura, kanta, śiras etc, through raktavahini dhamanies. During the course this amarasa also mixes with three doṣas and finally becomes picchila and kleda. Even after reaching the śleṣmasthānas, trikasandhi etc. region due to similarity with kapha its intensity increases more and finally causes amavāta.

Nidāna Sevana leads to vitiation of Pitta along with Vriddhi of Kapha and Vāta. Vriddha Kapha and Vāta cause the vitiation of Agni leading to Agnimāndya. Excessive consumption of Pittaja–Ahara (Pitta aggravating foods) and Pitta aggravating regimen leads to vitiation of Pitta Doṣa which further cause the vitiation of Rakta Dhātu. DoṣaSanchaya takes place in Grahani and Pakwashaya which results in Śūla, Shotha, Atisara, Vrana and Raktasraava etc.

Vitiated Kapha blocks the channels causing further inflammation, mucous accumulation and oedema. Thus it produces symptoms.
