ṢAṬBINDU TAILA

ऎरन्डमूलम्तगरम्शताह्वजीवन्तिरास्नासहसैन्धवश्च।

शृङ्गंविडंगम्मधुयष्टिकचविश्वौषधम्कृष्णतिलस्यतैलम्।

आजम्पयस्तैलविमिश्रितश्च।चतुर्गुणेभृंगरसेविपक्वम्।

षड्बिन्दवोनासिकयोनिर्धेयनिहन्तिशीख्रम्शिरसोविकारान्।

च्युतांश्चकेशांश्चपलिताम्चदन्तान्दुर्बधमूलाम्श्चदृडीकरोति

सुपर्णदृष्टिप्रतिमंचचक्षुर्बाहोर्बलंचअप्यधिकंददादि॥ (Bha Ra/65/80-81)

 Ingredients:

MūrchitaTaila/ Sesame oil

1 part/768 ml

BhṛṅgarājaSvarasa/ Eclipta alba/kayyonni

4 part or 3.072 litres

Ajadugdha/ goats milk

Satapuṣpa ( (Anethum sowa)

Preparation:To MūrchitaTilaTaila, all the Drava Dravyaand Kalka Dravyashould be added and heated on moderate flame, till only oil part remains or till tailapākais attained.Ṣaṭbinduie six bindu for Nasya is its dose hence its named as ṢaṭbinduTailam.

Benefit: All śirorogas, prevents hair fall, grey hair, gives strength to the hair roots and teeth, sharpens eyesight, gives strength to upper limbs.

AṆU THAILA

अणूनां स्रोतसां हितमित्यणुतैलं(Cha/Su/5/56 Chakrapani)

चन्दनागुरुणी पत्रं दार्वीत्वङ्मधुकं बलाम्||६३||
प्रपौण्डरीकं सूक्ष्मैलां विडङ्गं बिल्वमुत्पलम्|
ह्रीबेरमभयं वन्यं त्वङ्मुस्तं सारिवां स्थिराम्||६४||
जीवन्तीं पृश्निपर्णीं च सुरदारु [] शतावरीम्|
हरेणुं बृहतीं व्याघ्रीं सुरभीं पद्मकेशरम्||६५||
विपाचयेच्छतगुणे माहेन्द्रे विमलेऽम्भसि|
तैलाद्दशगुणं शेषं कषायमवतारयेत्||६६||
तेन तैलं कषायेण दशकृत्वो विपाचयेत्|
अथास्य दशमे पाके समांशं [] छागलं पयः||६७||
दद्यादेषोऽणुतैलस्य नावनीयस्य संविधिः|
अस्य मात्रां प्रयुञ्जीत तैलस्यार्धपलोन्मिताम्||६८||
स्निग्धस्विन्नोत्तमाङ्गस्य पिचुना नावनैस्त्रिभिः|
त्र्यहात्त्र्यहाच्च सप्ताहमेतत् कर्म समाचरेत्||६९||
निवातोष्णसमाचारी [] हिताशी नियतेन्द्रियः|
तैलमेतत्त्रिदोषघ्नमिन्द्रियाणां बलप्रदम्||७०||
प्रयुञ्जानो यथाकालं यथोक्तानश्नुते गुणान्|७१| (Cha/Su/5/63)

Ingredients:

Candana (Santalum album), Agaru (Aquilaria agallocha), Patram (Cinnamomum tamala), Darvītvak (Berberis aristata), Madhuka (Glycerrhiza glabra), Bala(Sida cordifolia), Prapauṇḍarīka(Nymphea lotus), SūkṣmaEla (Eletteria cardamomum),Vidaṅga (Embeliaribes), Bilva(Aegle marmelos), Utpala (Nymphea alba), Hrībera (Pavania odorata), Abhaya (Terminalia chebula), Vanya (Cyperus tenuiflorus), Tvak (Cinnamomum zeylanicum),  Musta (Cyperus rotundus), Sāriba (Hemidesmus indicus), Sthira (Desmodiumgangeticum),  Jīvantī (Leptadenia reticulata), Pṛśniparṇi(Urariapicta),  Suradāru  (Cedrus deodar), Satāvari (Asperagusracemosa), Hareṇu(Pisum sativum), Bṛhatī  (Solanum indicum), Vyākhri (Solanum xanthocarpum), Surabhi(Pluchealancerata), Padmakesara(  Nelumbo nucifera)

Tilatailam (Sesame oil)

Mahendrajala (Rain water)

100 parts

Preparation:

Equal part of drugs from Candana to Kesara should be taken –boiled with  100 times rain water reduced to 1/10th

To this add 1/10thTailaand do Tailapāka

Repeat this for 10 times

At the 10th time add equal part of goats milk to this and reduced to Tailapāka

Taila prepared like this is AṇuTaila.

Dose is ½ Pala

Benefits:

Tridoṣaghnam, IndriyaBalavardhakam, Keśyam, Balyam, Tvacyam, Kāntyam, Prīṇanam, Bṛṃhaṇam.

KṢĪRABALĀ TAILA

बलाकषायकल्काभ्यां तैलं क्षीरसमं पचेत्|
सहस्रशतपाकं तद्वातासृग्वातरोगनुत्||४५||
रसायनं मुख़्यतममिन्द्रियाणां प्रसादनम्|
जीवनं बृहणं स्वर्यं शुक्रासृग्दोषनाशनम्||४६||

Ingredients: Bala (Sida cordifolia), Tila Taila, andGokṣīra (cow’smilk)

Preparation: BalāKaṣāya and Kalka should be boiled in Taila added with equal quantity of Kṣīra till TailaPākais attained. Same process can be repeated 100 or 1000 times to reduce Vātarakta.

Benefits: Vātaraktahara, Rasāyanam, IndiryaPrasādaka, Jīvana,Bṛṃhaṇam, Svaryam, ŚukraDoṣā Hara, RaktaDoṣahara.

KĀRPĀSĀSTYĀDI TAILA

कार्पासास्थिबलामाषकुलत्थक्वथितेजले

देवदारुबलारास्नकुष्ठसर्षपनागरै

शताह्वापिप्पलिमूलाचव्यशिग्रुपुनर्नवै

कल्कितंतैलंअजेनक्षीरेणसहितंपचेत्

तत्पाननावनअभ्यङगयोत्सर्वअनिलापहम्

विशेषत्अपबाहुकं च पक्षाघातअर्दितंहरेत्॥

(Sahasrayoga/ tailaprakaranam)

Ingredients: :Kārpāsa(Gossypium herbaceum), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Māṣa (Phaseolus mungo), Kulattha (Dolichos biflorus),Devadāru(Cedrus deodara), Rāsna(Alpinia galanga),Kuṣṭha (Saussurealappa),Sarṣapa(Brassica juncea), Nāgara (Zingiber officinale),Śatāhvā (Asparagus racemosus),Pippalīmūla (Piper longum),Cavyā(Piper chaba), Śigru(Moringa oleifera), Punarnava (Boerrhaviadiffusa), Taila (Gingelly oil), Ajakṣīra (Goat’s milk).

Preparation: The decoction is prepared usingKārpāsāsthi,Balāmūla, Māṣaand Kulatthaone Prastha (768 ml). To the decoction, one Prasthaof goats milk along with one Prasthaof TilaTailaand pastes prepared using Devadāru,Bala, Rāsna,Kuṣṭha, Sarṣapa, Nāgara, Śatāhvā, Pippalīmūla, Cavyā, Śigru, and Punarnavaare added together and heated. This mixture is heated till proper TailaPākaappears.

Benefits:  SarvaVātaRoga, Pakṣāghāta,Arditaand Apabāhuka.

 

BRAHMI GHṚTA

द्वौ प्रस्थौ स्वरसाद् ब्राहया घृतप्रस्थं च साधितम्||२३||
व्योषश्यामात्रिवृद्दन्तीशङ्खपुष्पीनृपद्रुमैः|
ससप्तलाकृमिहरैः कल्कितैरक्षसम्मितैः||२४||
पलवृद्ध्या प्रयुञ्जीत परं मात्रा चतुष्पलम्|
उन्मादकुष्ठापस्मारहरं वन्ध्यासुतप्रदम्||२५||
वाक्स्वरस्मृतिमेधाकृद् धन्यं ब्राह्मीघृतं स्मृतम्| |२६|

Ingredients: Brahmi(Bacopa moneri),Vyoṣa[Trikatu (śuṇṭhī-Zingiber officinale, Pippalī- Piper longum and Marica- Piper nigrum)],Śyāmatrivṛt (Operculinaturpethum),Danti(Baliospermummontanum)Śaṅkhapuṣpi (Convolvulus prostratus), Nṛpadruma (Cassia fistula), Saptala (Acacia sinuata), Kṛmihara(Embelicaribes), Ghṛta(cow’s ghee).

Dose is from one Pala (48g) to 4 Pala (192g)

Preparation: Brahmi Svarasaof two Prastha amount is cooked in one Prastha of Ghṛtaand Vyoṣadi Kalka Dravyaeach in AkṣaMātrā till it become GhṛtaPāka.
